London conservatoire-trained and both now established teachers, Rebecca and Michael form an experienced recital duo offering Baroque-21st century duo repertoire, combined with works for solo piano and/or solo cello.
Rebecca Walker performs all over East Anglia, composes and teaches cello and double bass.
She trained at Chetham's School of Music, the Purcell School, and the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Leonid Gorokhov.
She has won several prizes, including Colchester Rotary Musician of the Year and the Douglas Whittaker Prize for chamber music, and has played at a Buckingham Palace Investiture in the presence of Prince Charles.

Parliamentary candidates will go head-to-head in a live election debate at the Fisher Theatre just two days before polling day.

This unique and free event, organised by the Fisher Theatre, will include Peter Aldous (Conservative Party), Graham Elliott (Green Party), Bob Blizzard (Labour Party standing MP), Alan Dean (Liberal Democrat Party) and Jack Tyler (United Kingdom Independence Party).

The debate will give local people the opportunity to question and hear where each candidate stands on national and local issues.
The format will be similar to the national Prime Ministerial debates to be screened on television.

The debate will be chaired by former Anglia Television presenter, Helen McDermott.

‘Leading up to the election we will certainly hear the individual party policies on national issues but people are interested in local issues as well and want to know what our newly elected MP will bring to this region. We are grateful to all the candidates for agreeing to take part in the debate and expect both a lively and stimulating evening that will hopefully encourage people to use their vote’

The Fisher Theatre is expecting tremendous interest in this debate so admission will be by ticket only.
Tickets are free and can be booked on a ‘first come, first served’ basis at the Box Office or by calling the Box Office on 01986 897130.
All tickets must be collected by Saturday 1 May so they can be reissued if for some reason people cannot attend.
Ticket holders will be encouraged to provide a sealed question if they wish.
All questions must be submitted by Saturday 1 May. These questions will be opened by the Chairperson in the presence of a number of Fisher Trustees in order to ensure a fair balance of questions for the debate.

Each candidate will be given the opportunity to make a short opening statement followed by audience questions which will be asked of each candidate.
